Purchasing OTC Sinus aspirin now requires ID and asking for it at the Rx counter.

Why cant they treat it like alcoholic products? ID them at the registers.

I hate WalMart as well, but I can understand that - they are doing it here at all stores, WalGreens, Eckards, CVS, Walmart, Target,K-Mart and every MOM and Pop/gas Station as well.

Oklahoma was the first state to start this, it's done to help cut down on meth labs.

It worked so well that other states came here to see how we did it.

It killed me though, cause now if i wake up late at night and im out of sinus med, im screwed!!

Just go down to the local meth lab to get cold medicine.

I do it all the time.

It took a few visits to build up enough trust in me not to put a gun in my face and mutter things about spiders crawling all over their skin, though.

I think it's the fact that I'm white and have facial hair that addicts think I'm a narc or something.

...And my tendency to tape Walkman headphones to my chest just to fuck with people.

I just saw a thing on the news about this the other night... it's not just WalMart...

All phamarcies (at least in Michigan) will be soon IDing for MOST OTC Cold remedies, including things like Robitussin cough syrup, etc. (Which makes perfect sense... we used to get bottles of that stuff for like $3 in college at the college pharmacy, then chug the whole thing. You trip balls for the better part of a day).

I personally dont mind. I'd rather have that than a meth lab blowing up next door or a loaded meth lab on wheels blowing up next to me at a stop light!
